Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah shared an awkward hug with Sergio Ramos almost five years after the 2018 Champions League final incident.
Ramos was accused of injuring Salah's shoulder, which forced him off the game, and saw the Reds lose 3-1 to Real Madrid.
The two stars were present at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, UAE. The Egyptian star was nominated for Best Men's Player, while the PSG defender was honoured as the Best All-Time Defender.
The Reds superstar was also nominated for the Best Men's Player award but was beaten to it by Ballon d'Or holder Karim Benzema. Salah ended up winning the Fans' Player of the Year.

The two players have not met on the pitch since that incident in Kyiv, Ukraine. The PSG star didn't play in the quarter-final against the Reds and had moved on to PSG when Liverpool played Madrid in the final last season.
Salah meets Ramos
Salah entered the room, and he and Ramos embraced with a smile before he proceeded to greet former Manchester United star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
There was no indication of animosity between the two players but in retrospect. the interaction must've been a little bit awkward, according to the Sun.
According to Reuters, Salah said the injury was the worst moment of his career. He was speaking ahead of the 2022 final against Madrid.
“I remember when I went out after 30 minutes or something, it was the worst moment of my career. I was really, really down after that."

Ramos named best defender
Sports Brief earlier reported on PSG star defender Ramos being awarded for his achievements throughout a glittering career with Real Madrid and Spain.
Ramos has won six league titles, four Champions League trophies, one World Cup and one European championship in his career.
The central defender spent 16 years with Los Blancos before joining Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain two seasons ago.
