  • Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted something is not right at Liverpool
  • The right-back, who has had his fair share of criticism in recent weeks, spoke after the Reds’ latest defeat at the hands of Leeds United
  • Defeat meant Liverpool were closer to the relegation zone than the top of the Premier League after 12 matches

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted his side are not getting something right after yet another lowly defeat in the Premier League.

A shock 2-1 loss at home to Leeds United meant Liverpool have now won four, drawn four and lost four after 12 games of the season so far.

The title race is definitely out of the question for Liverpool at this point in time, and Alexander Arnold has warned his side needs to correct some of their mistakes if they are to achieve anything in this campaign.

Clearly, as a team, something's not going right," He told the Liverpool website.

"That's something for everyone to think about, for everyone to address and make sure we put it right, especially next week against Spurs, top-four rivals.
"We kind of need to go there and get some points if we've got any chance of reaching our aims and aspirations for the season."

What next for Liverpool?

As reported by BBC, Crysencio Summerville’s winner late on Saturday, October 29 helped Leeds move out of the relegation zone to ease some pressure off Jesse Marsch.

For Liverpool, defeat leaves them eight points off the top four, and things will not get any easier as they have a game against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Interestingly, Liverpool are doing quite well in the Champions League and have already secured their slot in the last 16.

Van Dijk’s Anfield unbeaten run ends

Sports Brief also reported on Van Dijk’s impressive unbeaten run at Liverpool’s home ground Anfield coming to an end.

That record was ended by Leeds United, who caused the upset of the weekend by defeating Liverpool on Saturday

Soon after the final whistle, only one stat interested fans; the fact that Van Dijk had lost his first match at Anfield since 2018 when he signed for the Reds.
