Sadio Mané has pledged to build an Astroturf pitch for the people of Bambali in six months following his return home.
The Liverpool forward was spotted playing on a rain-soaked grassless pitch with friends early this week.
According to reports, after the game, the Bayern Munich target promised to provide his hometown with a state of the art pitch.
Mané is revered in Bambali for his philanthropic works and developmental projects.
The 30-year-old had a long season in England and only returned home at the end of the season, where he had a mini AFCON trophy parade in Bambali.
The Liverpool attacker played a huge role as Senegal won their first ever Africa Cup if Nations title in Cameroon earlier this year.
He also helped Senegal qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this year.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Sadio Mané is enjoying his time with childhood friends in his hometown of Bambali in Senegal after he was spotted playing football in the mud.
The Liverpool star is back in Senegal after a long season with the Reds, which saw him win the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the 30-year-old was busily playing football on a muddy pitch following rains in Bambali.

Sadio Mané received a heroes welcome in his hometown of Bambali in Senegal.
The Liverpool star was met by hundreds of fans after he arrived home with the Africa Cup of Nations trophy which he won with the Senegalese senior national team early this year.
In a video posted on Twitter, the native of Bambali was cheered by friends and family as they welcome their hero.
