Jordan Henderson was delighted that Liverpool have taken the Premier League title race to the last day of the season.
The Reds fought back from a goal down to earn a 2-1 victory over Southampton on Tuesday night, leaving them just one point behind league leaders Manchester City heading into the final matchday of the season.
It means the Reds need to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers and hope Aston Villa can get a result against City at the Etihad Stadium to finish the season top of the pile.
And speaking after the win against Southampton to Sky Sports, Henderson said he hopes Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa can pull off a shock against Manchester City on Sunday.

Football"It’s hard," said the Reds captain on the title race.
"We have had this before when they played Brighton away and they went one goal up, and the crowd cheer and you sort of know what is going on, it’s hard to concentrate on the game and hopefully, we have that experience, we can learn from it and concentrate on what we need to.
"I might give Stevie a call this week, hopefully he can do us a favour!"
Sports Brief earlier reported that a number of Liverpool fans have taken to social media to blast referee Martin Atkinson for allowing Southampton’s opener to stand despite the initial 'foul' on Diogo Jota in the build-up to the goal.
Southampton opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the encounter following a sublime effort by Nathan Redmond, which was deflected into the far corner.
Liverpool knew anything short of victory in the game at St. Mary’s would jeopardize their chances of winning the title and they were stunned by Southampton’s lead.
