Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed that he prefers to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final to Manchester City.
The Egyptian King was influential for the Reds in their 3-2 away win over Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica Stadium on Tuesday night.
Salah provided an assist for Brazilian midfielder Fabinho as they staged a comeback to qualify for the final on a 5-2 aggregate.
Liverpool will now face either La Liga winners Real Madrid or current Premier League leaders Manchester City in the final on May 28 in Paris, France.
The two European powerhouses played out a thrilling first leg at the Etihad last week, with Pep Guardiola's side recording a 4-3 victory heading to the return fixture at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
And ahead of the game, Salah told BT Sports that he is hoping to avoid Manchester City in the final.
"It's great to be in the final for the third time in five years," he said.
"I want to play Real Madrid, I have to be honest. "Hopefully we'll win it from them as well."
Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 3-1 to win their 13th UEFA Champions League title in 2018, thanks to a brace from Gareth Bale and a Karim Benzema strike.
Salah was famously injured by Sergio Ramos in the game after he dislocated his shoulder following a poor challenge.
