The Watford attacking midfielder is seen as replacement for Frank Kessie who will be leaving AC Milan in the summer while Klopp sees the Senegalese as part of his future plans.
According to Calciomercato, Klopp has urged management of Liverpool to make a move for the winger.
Meanwhile, Italian journalist Daniele Longo, according to 13 Football, reports AC Milan have keen interest in 24-year-old with Frank Kessie set to leave in the summer.
Ismaïla Sarr has been an integral member of Watford this season, playing 16 English Premier League games and scoring five as the Hornets strive for survival.
He also played a key role as Senegal won their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations despite joining the team late in Cameroon.
He previously played for FC Metz and Stade Rennais in France.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that players of the Senegalese national football team arrived in Marrakech like champions en-route to Cairo for their World Cup play-off against Egypt.
A batch of ten players including Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and Bayern Munich's Bouna Sarr touched down in the Moroccan city on Sunday.
The rest of the team are expected to arrive on Tuesday before the team continues it's journey to Egypt for the big game.
