Sadio Mane on Sunday evening, 27 February, respectfully urged Liverpool teammate Takumi Minamino not to spray Champagne on him and others after beating Chelsea in the EFL Cup.
Footballers all over the world are known for spraying Champagne after winning a title in which all the players will be dancing on the pitch with the title won.
But that was not the case for Sadio Mane after Liverpool defeated Chelsea on penalties in the Carabao Cup final as the Senegalese who is a devoted Muslim kicked against the Champagne celebration.
According to the report on Sportbible and Daily Mail, Takumi Minamino accepted to do what Sadio Mane asked him to do and he continued dancing with his teammates.
However, once the official photographs had been taken, Mane moved away from the group to allow them to take part in the tradition of spraying champagne.
