Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has pleaded for peace and calm among the club's supporters.
Many were heard booing players at Moses Mabhida Stadium last Saturday when the Amakhosi when they lost 2-1 to Chippa United. This continued into the tense 2-2 draw against TS Galaxy last night at the FNB Stadium.
Zwane told iDiski Times at a post-match conference:
“The booing of players… look unfortunately we have supporters who are very very passionate, you know, who want to win – they want to brag as well about the club. The boys are doing their utmost best but unfortunately the results are not forthcoming and it’s one of those things where the boys need to be strong because they played very well."

“It’s only us again, we’re going to have to help our supporters to understand the game even much better by just taking our chances much better going forward and that time will come I have no doubt about it.”
Meanwhile, Zwane explained to IOL why stalwart goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune was withdrawn from the starting lineup just before the match started.
Zwane said:
“Itu (Khune) felt some pain in his knee when he was doing the warm-up. Maybe he will feel better after he has seen the doctors. We could not take that risk because we need him for other games going forward.”
The games in question are crucial ones, including the second leg of the MTN8 tie against Amazulu on Sunday, currently tied at 1-1. The other is a league clash against Orlando Pirates next weekend.
