Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up for the final game of the season and the looking towards the new season with a few new faces.
One face who might not be with the Amakhosi next season is Dumisani Zuma.
The player is currently suspended by the club for breaching the code of conduct but according to news reports, he wants out from the Amakhosi.
SABC Sport has since reported that the player’s representatives have requested his clearance from the club. Zuma’s agent, Basia Michaels, would not be drawn on reports that they had requested Zuma’s clearance but confirmed that the disciplinary process was still ongoing.
“I ask that you give us time to ventilate it. From my personal experience the outcome won’t be favorable but weirder things have happened in football,” she said.
Zuma is contracted to Amakhosi until the end of June 2023. Zuma was suspended earlier this month from all football activities earlier this month. At the time, Michaels criticised the club for the way it handled the matter.
Michaels said that she wasn’t informed that her client was suspended, and nor were they provided reasons for his suspension. Zuma was previously suspended by the club in November last year for allegedly drinking under the influence of alcohol.
The South African has now confirmed that his second suspension came about after he had a heated altercation with Arthur Zwane.

FootballZuma’s suspension comes a few days after scoring his first goal for the club, as he netted for the Amakhosi in their 2-1 defeat to Cape Town City. The Amakhosi released a statement in which they announced that the player would be suspended with immediate effect, The South African reported.
Zuma was suspended for the second time for breaching the Amakhosi’s code of conduct. The player will now face a disciplinary hearing before he can be considered for selection for the table again.
