Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways in the DStv Premiership as they overcame Chippa United 3-1.
Samir Nurković, Keagan Dolly and Cole Alexander all got onto the scoresheet for the Amakhosi.
The two-week international break seemed to have benefitted the Amakhosi as they looked fresh and ready to renew their charge for second place in the DStv Premiership.
Kaizer Chiefs took the lead in the 23rd minute when Samir Nurković scored. The Serbian forward has been out of action recently but marked his return to the squad with a goal. The goal also happened to be his first goal of the season.
The Amakhosi went into the break with the lead but that didn’t last long. Chippa United scored straight from the restart thanks to Bienvenu Eva Nga.
The game settled as Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs couldn’t get a second. That changed not long after Stuart Baxter brought on Keagan Dolly and Cole Alexander. The duo both got onto the scoresheet as Kaizer Chiefs ran out 3-1 winners.
Kegan Dolly scored a stunning freekick in the 75th minute before Cole Alexander rounded off the scoring in the 88th minute. Alexander has also been out due to injury recently and was glad to get some game time and a goal.
Kaizer Chiefs remain in third place, two points behind Royal AM. MaMkhize’s side also picked up a victory today to consolidate second place.

Kaizer Chiefs defender, Reeve Frosler won the coveted Goal of the Month award for his stunning strike against Orlando Pirates. Frosler scored the opening goal in the game with a long-range effort.
The win didn’t come as a surprise to many, as Kaizer Chiefs fans often joke about how they would vote for any Chiefs player nominated, no matter how simple the goal was. The PSL announced the winner on their Twitter account, with a video of the strike.
