Kaizer Chiefs are still keen to sign midfielder Bongani Zungu, as the midfielder continues to consider his future in France.
Zungu currently plays for Ligue 2 outfit, Amiens SC but has had his fair share of problems at the club.
Recently Zungu angered the management of the team by getting sent off for dissent in a crunch game. Zungu did not feature for the club since that sending off, missing a total of four games.
Coach, Philippe Hinschberger, stated that he would not ‘roll out the red carpet’ for the South African, KickOff reported.
Zungu previously was dropped from the team because of weight issues. The South African has since reported that Amiens SC are still interested in retaining the services of the player.
The player was also excluded from the recent Bafana squad to take on Guinea and France.
Zungu admitted that the coach has spoken to him about his contract with the club and that they were keen to retain his services. While Zungu added that he has a few more weeks to decide, he noted that he just wanted to focus on his football for now and would leave the negotiations to his management.
Kaizer Chiefs though are expected to try and sign the player and bring him back to South African shores.

FootballThis past weekend though, Bongani Zungu angered his club, Amiens SC with his actions, and Amiens' coach and management blamed the player for the loss against Pau, Sports Brief recently reported.
Zungu was sent off after he received two yellow cards in quick succession. Zungu was given a yellow for dissent as he argued with the referee. The card didn’t deter the player and he continued to argue with the referee over the issuing of the card and was given a second yellow, just seconds later. As reported by KickOff, his attitude towards the referee was described as aggressive.
