Inter Milan have climbed to second on the Serie A standings following their 3-1 comfortable win over Cremonese on Tuesday night, August 30, at San Siro.

Inter were desperate to bounce back to winning ways when they hosted Cremonese, having suffered a 3-1 heavy loss against Lazio in their last outing.

Felipe Anderson, Luis Alberto, and Pedro were all on target as Lazio condemned Nerazzurri to their first loss of the new season.

On their part, Cremonese were hoping to avoid a fourth consecutive loss this term when they travelled to San Siro.

The hosts needed just 12 minutes after the kickoff to score the opener through Joaquin Correa, who pounced on a loose ball in the area to beat Radu, who was in goal for Cremonese.

Nicolo Barella doubled Inter's advantage in the 38th minute, firing home a stunning volley from 20 yards out after Calhanoglu lay the ball his way with a brilliant assist.

The second half of the match saw the home side pick from where they left, with Lautaro Martinez making it 3-0 in the 76th minute.

David Okereke drew one back at the death for the visitors, but it was not enough to stop them from picking their fourth straight defeat this season.
