Black Stars trainer Milovan Rajevac is cautiously optimistic of Ghana's chances at next year's Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Serbian tactician named a 30-man provisional team for pre-AFCON camping on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Ghana Football Association secretariat.
In a meeting with the press, Milovan Rajevac said he is confident his team can end Ghana's 40-year trophy drought.
"We will try to win the trophy, no serious person will promise to win the trophy now. We will try match after match but we are going to do our best," he said.
"This is the group of players I believe can help us win the AFCON," he added.
Milovan Rajevac named his 30-man provisional squad ahead of the pre-tournament camping in Qatar on Tuesday.
The team is expected to reported in the Asian country before the end of the week as preparations start for AFCON 2021.

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Milovan Rajevac has named a 30-man provisional squad for next year's Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The team includes four new players, with Khalid Abdul Mumin and Salis Abdul Samed earning their first ever call ups.
In a list released by the Ghana Football Association, the squad also includes four players from the Ghana Premier League.
The Black Stars will play Algeria in one of their three friendlies in Qatar, before leaving for Cameroon on January 7, 2022.
