Milovan Rajevac has named a 30-man provisional squad for next year's Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The team includes four new players, with Khalid Abdul Mumin and Salis Abdul Samed earning their first ever call ups.
In a list released by the Ghana Football Association, the squad also includes four players from the Ghana Premier League.
Captain Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew will be leading a squad made up of Arsenal star Thomas Partey and Mubarak Wakaso.
Surprisingly included in the team in Mohammed Kudus of Ajax who got injured in Ghana's World Cup qualifier against South Africa last month.
Meanwhile, Felix Afena-Gyan, who excused himself from an earlier invite, has been named in the squad.
The Black Stars begin their AFCON preparations this week, with the players expected to meet in Qatar for a three week camping.
The team will leave for Cameroon on January 7, 2022 for the tournament which begins on January 9.
Ghana have been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and the Comoros Island.
Milovan Rajevac to name his squad today
Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac will name his provisional squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Accra.
The Serbian trainer is expected to name a larger squad before it is pruned to a 28-man team for the Nations Cup in Cameroon.
The Ghana Football Association confirmed the coach will be meeting the press on Tuesday at their secretariat, where an announcement will be made as to which players will represent the country at AFCON 2021.
