Legendary Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan has shared his excitement, after Uruguay suffered World Cup elimination despite beating the Black Stars in the final Group H game.
The 37-year-old also took a dig at Uruguay star Luis Suarez for his involvement in Ghana's elimination from the World Cup 12 years ago.
Despite being absent at the World Cup in Qatar, Gyan was closely monitoring the tournament through his work as a pundit on South African sports channel SuperSport TV.
A first half brace from Giorgian de Arrascaeta could not save Uruguay from elimination due to result from the other Group H game. South Korea defeated Portugal 2-1 to progress to the last 16.

Suarez broke down in tears after the game as La Celeste head back to Montevideo.
"Suarez was laughing 12 years ago, but he is crying today," Gyan said on SuperSport. "He is going home. Although a poor performance from us, I will take this as sweet revenge."
The Black Stars are headed home after the defeat to the South Americans.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Suarez was an emotional wreck after his nation suffered elimination from the World Cup, despite beating Ghana in 2-0 in their final group game.
Result from the South Korea and Portugal game meant Suarez and his team's journey at the 2022 Mundial came to an end.
In photos that have since gone viral on social media, Suarez wept uncontrollably after South Korea took a 2-1 lead in their match.

Suarez is still haunting Ghanaians after a moment of brilliance in the first half of the game between the Black Stars and Uruguay.

Suarez has been the chief villain in the eyes of Ghanaians, for his infamous handball incident in 2010 and also scoring twice against the West Africans in 2022.
