Former Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has tipped Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for greatness at Sporting CP
The player, who recently turned 18, inked a five-year deal with the Primeira Liga side in February as he begins his career in Europe.
The former Dreams FC winger was then presented to the Sporting CP fans at the club’s stadium with thousands showing up to see their new player.
Issahaku shot to prominence after winning the best player at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania last year.
According to Konadu, the enterprising Ghanaian winger is in good hands and is confident he will become a superstar.
"In almost every game he played in the Ghanaian Premier League he scored," Konadu said as quoted by FootballGhana.
"This was before going to Sporting in Lisbon. We are happy for him and we know that Sporting is an excellent club that will help him. I am sure of that because I know Portuguese football, I know Sporting. He is in good hands and will become a superstar."
"Issahaku will be at the World Cup. We have to protect him, give him confidence, take him into the team at least. Because he will learn a lot, even if he is on the bench, if he has the opportunity to enter. he will take advantage of every opportunity. In the coming years he will become better, if he is in the World Cup it will only help him to become a better player", he said.

FootballIssahaku was part of Ghana's squad which secured World Cup qualification at the expense of West African rivals Nigeria on the away goal rule last Tuesday.
He will hope to garner more playing time at Sporting in order to be included in Ghana's roster for Qatar 2022, where the Black Stars have been pitted against Portugal, the Korea Republic and Uruguay.
The attacking midfielder has a €60 million release clause at Sporting CP.
