Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is already relishing the clash between Ghana and Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The 18-year-old, who hold the title for the best U20 player in Africa, sealed a mouthwatering deal with Sporting Lisbon last week, after penning a five-year deal.

Having settled in Portugal, the youngster told CAF's media in an interview; he has been talking to his teammates who play the national team about the impending World Cup opener.

"The World Cup is every footballer's dream," he told CAFOnline.com.
"The World Cup is a very big thing and everyone dreams of it. I can't wait to be there", Issahaku said.
"It would be fantastic. I've already talked to them (team-mates about Ghana versus Portugal game at the World Cup) and it has everything to be a good game."

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was immediately rolled into the Ghana national team after his scintillating displays at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations last year.

He made his debut in the World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe before going on to feature at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year.

The former Steadfast FC player also played a role as Ghana qualified to the World Cup, featuring in the play-offs against Nigeria.

Fatawu Issahaku delighted to join Sporting CP

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Stars forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed satisfaction following his move to Portuguese outfit Sporting CP.

The 18-year-old attacker was officially unveiled by the club on Wednesday, April 6 after signing a five-year deal with the Primera Liga club.

In a post on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the attacker expressed profound joy as he commences his football journey in Europe.
