German giants Borussia Dortmund have congratulated coach Otto Addo on leading Ghana in securing qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Addo, who is currently the head of youth development at Dortmund, guided the Black Stars to make a return to the global showpiece after missing out on the last edition.
With players fighting and forcing the match to end in a 1-1 stalemate at full time, Ghana has secured qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup on the away goal rule.
Otto Addo was appointed as Ghana's interim head coach for their World Cup qualifying matches and helped lead them to victory.
Excited about the feat, Borussia Dortmund have taken to their Twitter page to congratulate the Addo for the amazing feat.
Otto Addo's coaching career
The former Black Stars midfielder started his coaching career while at the twilight of his playing career with Hamburg in 2007 where he worked as a player-coach, mainly helping the youth side.
Between 2016 and 2017, he left for Danish fold Nordsjaelland where he worked as assistant coach, before moving back to Germany to take up another assistant coaching role with Borussia Monchengladbach.
In 2019, he returned to Dortmund where he played between 1999 and 2005, but this time as an assistant coach and has since been with The Black and Yellows.
