Former Ghana international, Tony Yeboah has pledged to persuade his nephew, Kelvin Yeboah to rescind his decision of playing for Italy and represent the Black Stars at senior level.
Kelvin Yeboah snubbed a Black Stars invite in June last year to play for the Italy U21 national team, leaving many shocked especially with his uncle being a Ghana legend.
But Tony Yeboah, who was speaking to Onua TV, says he will have a talk with his nephew, to convince into switching allegiance and playing for the African country.
"I will advise my nephew (Kelvin Yeboah)to play for the Black Stars of Ghana," he said.
Kelvin Yeboah was born in Accra, Ghana but left the country at a tender age to England, where he started honing his skills.
However, after some few in the UK, he move to Italy to join youth team side Gazzano Youth before he was transferred to WSG Wattens in Austria.
His outstanding displays earned him a move to WSG Tirol before finally making a big switch to Sturm Graz in February 2021.
This season, Yeboah has netted 11 goals in 18 Austrian Bundesliga games, and has five assists to his credit.
With the Italian U21 team, Kelvin Yeboah made his debut in a game against Montenegro and followed that up with the match against Luxemburg.
He is still eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana since he has not featured for the senior national team of Italy.

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghanaian born forward, Kelvin Yeboah, has made his intentions clear after picking the Italy U-21 national team over an invite from the Black Stars coach, C.K Akonnor.
Kelvin, nephew of one of Ghana's great, Tony Yeboah, was given an earlier call up by C.K Akonnor for the World Cup qualifiers in July.
However, a late invite from the Azzuri U-21 coach, Paolo Nicolato, changed the youngster's decision as to where to pledge his international career.
