'Send your own cooks and cleaners to AFCON' - Kwesi Nyantakyi advises GFA

• Kwesi Nyantakyi was dethroned as president of the association over allegations of bribery and corruption

Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has come out of 'exile' to advise the current administration on what to do heading to AFCON 2021.

According to the disgraced ex-CAF Vice President, the Ghana Football Association needs to travel with it's own chefs and cleaners.

In an interview with Onua TV, Mr. Nyantakyi explained there are so many tricks at the Africa Cup of Nations and to avoid falling into any of these traps, a team must be well prepared.

“I have been at the Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] several times with the Black Stars and there are tricks that we must take into consideration,” he told Accra based Onua TV.

“Some of the North African countries come to the tournament with their own cook, cleaners among others and when I was in office, we also do the same because Africa is full of surprises.

“This is because nobody wants to be a victim and I think with the Black Stars heading to the AFCON in Cameroon, all this must be taken into consideration."

Kwasi Nyantakyi's time as GFA president came to a scandalous end after investigative journalist Anas Armeyaw Anas showed a documentary which captured him taking bribes.

The former CAF vice-president was then banned from football by FIFA for breaking the code of ethics.

Kwesi Nyantakyi banned for life

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA ), has banned Kwesi Nyantekyi for life.

Nyantakyi has been banned from all football-related activities.

The embattled former GFA President has also been fined CHF500,000, equivalent to $497,000, for several breaches of Code and Ethics of FIFA.

The former GFA Boss would not take part in any football-related activities at both the national and international level. Nyantakyi's ban follows the investigative piece by Ghanaian and worldwide acclaimed journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, dubbed 'Number 12'.
