Anderlecht star Majeed Ashimeru donates football boots and kits to young footballers in Ghana

Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru showed love to the community he grew up after donating football boots and kits to aspiring footballers.

The Anderlecht star is in Ghana for the winter break and took time to meet the young footballers, as he inspired them to pursue their dreams.

In a post on Facebook, the 24-year-old expressed delight in giving back to society and hopes the young players realize their dreams.

"Always proud and happy to be back, where it all started! Donated some pairs of soccer shoes and other stuffs to keep motivating these young kings. Happy new year to y’all , May Allah bless us all." he wrote.

Majeed Ashimeru is known for his philanthropic works, and has in the past giving back to people living on the streets in Belgium and was helpful to Ghanaian during the heightened period of COVID-19.

The former WAFA player is having a good campaign with Anderlecht this season, having scored two goals in 21 appearances for the club.

Despite his outstanding form this season, he missed Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac's team for the Africa Cup of Nation's in January.

Majeed Ashimeru will return later this month to continue his campaign with the Purple and Whites.

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghana and Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru extended his philanthropic works to the streets of Belgium after he went out to give back to the streets.

The midfielder showed love to the people living on the streets by sharing food and spending time with them in Brussels.

In a video posted on Facebook by the player, sighted by SportsBrief, Ashimeru speaks about what it means to be on the streets and where he comes from.
