Cheikhou Kouyaté is still being celebrated by the people of Senegal following his role in the country's first-ever Africa Cup of Nations triumph.
The Crystal Palace star was met by a number of Senegalese living in London to congratulate him for his AFCON success, after the game between Crystal Palace and Stoke City at Selhurst Park.
In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the 32-year-old shared the moment with the excited fans.
Kouyaté played six games and scored in the round of 16 game against Cape Verde as the West African giants were crowned champions at the Nations Cup in Cameroon.
He started the final against Egypt before he was replaced in the 66th minute.
Last night Cheikhou Kouyaté scored as Crystal Palace won their FA Cup clash against Stoke City.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the Eagles had gone into the match on the back of a disappointing draw against relegation-threatened Burnley in the Premier Soccer League. Meanwhile, Stoke had suffered defeat at the hands of Bournemouth in the second tier of English football.
The sides had to contend with the late winter rain of London in front of an involved crowd.
Interestingly, Palace scored with the only shots on target they had on the night.

Cheikhou Kouyaté received a rapturous welcome from his Crystal Palace teammates after retuning from the Africa Cup of Nations as a champion.
The 32-year-old midfielder starred as Senegal defeated Egypt in the finals of the Nations Cup to win the competition for the first time in the competitions history.
In a video posted on Twitter, Kouyaté was present with a Crystal Palace jersey as his teammates requested for a speech from the AFCON winner.
