An adorable video has appeared on social media where the daughter of a famous Nigerian singer, Simi, was seen cheering Chelsea players on during their Champions League game.

The Blues returned to action on Tuesday, 7 March, where they hosted Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 second leg encounter which they won 2-0.

Simi and her daughter were seen on Instagram watching the game, clearly rooting for the men in blue.

In the Instagram video, the little girl called Deja was seen shouting: "Chelsea, come on now!"

Her mother was surprised and happy with the reaction from Deja.

Who scored for Chelsea?

A few minutes later, Simi's daughter was granted her wish as Raheem Sterling scored the first goal for Chelsea in the 43rd minute.

Kai Havertz netted the second goal for the Stamford Bridge landlords via a penalty in the 53rd minute for the aggregate to end 2-1.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will return to action on Saturday, 11 March, in the Premier League as they face Leicester City in what is expected to be a tough battle.

The Blues are currently occupying 10th position on the Premier League table after 25 games played.

Chelsea fan hails club

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how a Chelsea fan came up with a bizarre theory as to why they could win the Champions League this season.

The Blues made a good account of themselves to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition on Tuesday night.

Graham Potter's men defied all the odds to see off Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 to advance to the next round.

Chelsea had suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first leg played in Germany but upset Dortmund 2-0 in the reverse tie, staged at Stamford Bridge, to progress.
