Chelsea manager Graham Potter has come clean on why his left back Marc Cucurella has been struggling since his move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
The 24-year old has struggled to settle in at Chelsea, and not even a reunion with his former boss at Brighton has helped his situation.
As a result, Cucurella has lost his place in the starting XI to 18-year-old Lewis Hall, who is currently being played out of position at left back.

While speaking ahead of Chelsea’s daunting game against Liverpool, Potter shed some light on Cucurella’s situation as the left back has played less than 15 minutes in total in recent weeks.
“Some players have dips in form, there are different solutions for a game, that is sometimes the case.” Potter said as quoted on Standard.co.uk.
“Lewis Hall has done well and we have to manage his games and role because he’s a young player starting out. Marc has had a lot to deal with and sometimes these things happen in how you settle into a team and club, a new group.”
"Family-wise that has been difficult for him as well. So there's many factors.”
In terms of his abilities, there is no denying Cucurella is an important player.
Last season for Brighton, his performances earned him the player of the year award, and Brighton were said to rate him higher than Ben White, who made the move to Arsenal.
