Chelsea boasts of one of the most reputable and most famous academies in the world. Situated at the club's training facilities in Cobham, Surrey, London, it has produced stars at the club and exported many.
Reece James, Mason Mount, Trevoh Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Armando Broja are current first-team stars that came through the academy, with Fikayo Tomori, Billy Gilmour and Tammy Abraham having left the club recently.
Chalobah and Mount spent 11 years together at the academy, and played at all youth levels and both have won trophies together. The defender celebrated his teammate, who turned 24 yesterday, with a throwback photo of the two in the academy.
Chalobah throws it back
In the 2019/20 season, Frank Lampard handed debuts to eight Chelsea academy graduates, a club record as noted by Daily Star. One of these was Mount, who has been likened to the legend himself.

Chalobah on the other hand, got his debut under former boss, Thomas Tuchel in the UEFA Super Cup final and has remained an integral part of the team's first team since then.
The Sierra Leone-born defender, whose brother Nathaniel also came through the Chelsea academy, shared a photo of himself and the former Derby loanee from the academy days, with a caption wishing Mount a happy birthday.
Chalobah contracted till 2028
Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea extended Chalobah's contract until 2028 in a show of faith in the academy graduate, despite his previous contract expiring in 2026.
