Chelsea manager Graham Potter is on the spot again after the Blues suffered the second straight league defeat on Sunday, November 6th, to Arsenal, which means they have now lost three straight games to the Gunners at Stamford Bridge.
Ex-Chelsea midfielder Andy Townsend has called out Potter for liking personality and charisma in his press conferences.
The Arsenal defeat was the first time the Blues lost two consecutive matches since 2020 under Frank Lampard. Chelse fans were livid after the defeat directing criticism towards Potter for the disappointing loss.
Potter had started his Chelseas tenure impressively, but a shocking 4-1 defeat away at Brighton was a reality check. He won five of his first six games in charge while leading the Blues to the top of their Champions League group.

Potter told to be ruthless
The Blues are now winless in their last four league matches, causing some jitters among fans. Townsend asked Potter to be more ruthless like Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, according to Talksport.
"When I look at Antonio Conte, when I look at Thomas Tuchel, Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola they are frantic, they are kicking every ball and contesting every decision.”
Townsend urged Potter to have some charisma when speaking to the press.
“I don’t think Graham can continue to come out and say they’ve been beaten by the better team and will learn from it… you cannot keep doing that at Chelsea. You can do that at Brighton."
