  • Tony Cascarino has suggested that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not last at Stamford Bridge beyond this season
  • Aubameyang, who joined Chelsea in the summer, has struggled for form and consistency with the Blues
  • Cascarino contends that the 33-year-old is not the ideal striker for the west Londoners, claiming that the club may have to part ways with him
  • The former Arsenal striker has scored just three goals since his move to Chelsea, with two of those goals coming in the Champions League

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has urged Blues boss Graham Potter to offload Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang sealed a stunning move to Stamford Bridge in the summer from Barcelona under former manager Thomas Tuchel.

The Gabonese forward's move to Chelsea saw him make a sensational return to the Premier League, barely six months after he had left when he swapped Arsenal for Barca.

However, the 33-year-old has struggled to live up to his billing at Stamford Bridge, having managed just three goals so far.

This completely contrasts his form during his short stint at Camp Nou, where he scored 11 goals in just 17 La Liga matches.

Tony Cascarino wants Auba offloaded

Cascarino has now called on Chelsea boss Potter to consider replacing Aubameyang as he is unreliable.

According to the legendary footballer, Auba isn't the perfect striker the club thought they had signed in the summer.

"I’m not even sure Aubameyang is a player Chelsea will be looking at into next season," Cascarino told talkSPORT.
"I think what will happen is what happened to him at Barcelona. They brought him to the club, got a big signing, then realised quite quickly they need to move away to a better striker.
"I think Chelsea will have to do that as a football club. They’ll come away from Aubameyang by the end of the season," he added.

Aubameyang responds to leaked video

Sports Brief earlier reported on Aubameyang's response to the video that leaked, showing him aiming digs at Arteta.

Aubameyang acknowledged what he said but praised Arsenal for their phenomenal start to the season.

However, the Gabonese, now at Chelsea, said when the Blues and Arsenal meet next month, he wants to get one over his former side.
