Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly interested in the signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, and the Blues have told their scouts to keep monitoring the Nigerian star.
Osimhen has been making headlines this season because of his brilliant performances so far for Serie A side Napoli in all competitions.
The Nigerian recently returned to action for Napoli after being out for weeks due to injury, and Osimhen scored a goal in each of his side's last two games.
According to the report on 90min, Chelsea want a new striker next summer and the club's chiefs feel Osimhen will be a good signing for them.

The report added that Chelsea's management are of the view that Osimhen can be a long-term replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, considering his age.
Osimhen's goals scored for Napoli
Osimhen has four goals in eight games this season, maintaining the electric form that saw him finish the 2021/22 Serie A campaign with 14 league goals.
As things stand, Chelsea will have to convince those in charge of Napoli for them to have the chance of signing the Nigerian star.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Victor Osimhen was spotted running to greet Super Eagles teammate Ogenyi Onazi, just few minutes after scoring the winner for Napoli against Bologna in the Serie A.
Napoli staged a big comeback on Sunday evening, 16 October, as they defeated visiting Bologna 3-2. Osimhen scored the winner in the second half of the game.
