Wesley Fofana has detailed the role played by Reece James in his decision to join Chelsea this summer.
The French defender had been shortlisted as a top transfer target for the Blues to reinforce their backline.
And after failed bids, the west Londoners eventually managed to snap up the youngster on Tuesday in a £70m deal.
Fofana's move to Stamford Bridge came after he had made 37 Premier League appearances for Leicester City.

Wesley Fofana details how Reece James convinced him to make Chelsea move
Fofana has now revealed that James is the man behind his decision to join the Blues this summer.
The 22-year-old revealed that the Chelsea wingback messaged him privately to ask him to join him at Stamford Bridge.
"I speak to Reece James on Instagram and Eduoard Mendy, [Marc] Cucurella as well," Fofana told Chelsea’s official website.
"Reece James sent me a message on Instagram about one month ago, saying 'You come and me and you play in defence'. I love that. It’s good for the confidence and he’s my guy now," he added.
Fofana’s £70m move to the Blues now makes him the third most expensive Premier League defender behind Harry Maguire and Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk.
