Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the verge of joining German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the transfer window.

The 21-year-old English-born Ghanaian is set to sign a one-year loan deal to join Leverkusen this summer.

According to Evening Standard, negotiations are at advance stage between the player's representatives and the German club.

Hudson-Odoi has not featured for the Blues in the new season and was left out of the match day squad against Everton on the opening day.

The 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup winner has been linked with Leicester City and Southampton, but the winger favours a move to Germany.

Last season, Chelsea reportedly rejected offers from Bayern Munich for the winger.

Hudson-Odoi, who is expected to switch nationalities and represent Ghana at the World Cup in November, has two years left on his current Chelsea deal.
