Paul Merson urges Chelsea to make move for Cristiano Ronaldo

But according to Merson, Chelsea should reconsider their decision not to make a move for Ronaldo.

The former Premier League star contends the Portuguese talisman 'ticks all of their boxes' for an ideal striker.

"I cannot believe they didn't or haven't gone in for Cristiano Ronaldo. He just ticks all of the boxes Chelsea are lacking," Merson told Sky Sports.
"Playing for Chelsea is not like playing for Manchester United, who are working from the halfway line.

"Chelsea have unbelievable wing-backs, they dominate football matches, if they were putting the ball into the box for Ronaldo I would dread to think how many goals he could score," he added.

Bernardo Silva breaks his silence over a potential move to Barcelona

At the same time, Sports Brief has also reported that Bernardo Silva has broken his silence about the uncertainty surrounding his future amid keen interest from Barcelona.

Silva, who is held in high esteem by Barca coach Xavi Hernandez, admits he doesn't know if he will still be at Manchester City beyond the summer transfer window.

Despite reports this week that no bid has been made by the Blaugrana, the Portuguese international has refused to rule out a move out of City in the coming weeks and confirmed his personal stance over leaving.
