- Chelsea will face Frank Lampard's Everton in their Premier League curtain raiser on Saturday, August 6
Chelsea posted a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Udinese Calcio in their final pre-season game on Friday, July 29 at the Dacia Arena in Udine.
Goals from new signing Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount and French midfielder N'Golo Kante were enough to hand Thomas Tuchel's charges a well-deserved win over their Italian counterparts.
Coach Thomas Tuchel tweaked his starting lineup which woefully lost to Arsenal with Koulibaly and Kante replacing Chalobah and Gallagher respectively as the German tactician reverted to his preferred three-at-the-back system.
And it came as no surprise when the Premier League giants began the game on the front foot but with nothing to show on the scoresheet.

But Chelsea did not have to wait long for a goal as Kante found the breakthrough after 20 minutes.
The Frenchman's goal increased the attacking impetus of the Blues with Sterling doubling his side's lead as well as opening his personal goalscoring account for the club, seven minutes after the half-hour mark.
Just when Tuchel's charges were cruising to halftime with a healthy lead, Gerard Deulofeu halved the deficit.
A plethora of changes in the second half hampered the flow of the game, however, Mason Mount had the last laugh as he added the icing on the cake to cast Chelsea's victory in stone.
The win arrests Chelsea's poor run of results, back-to-back defeats against Charlotte FC and Arsenal, ahead of the club's opening Premier League game against Everton.
