Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has stated emphatically that the goal he scored against Premier League giants Chelsea in the Champions League remains his most cherished.
Victor Osimhen headed in a fine goal to cancel out Tammy Abraham’s opener, but Willian netted a late winner to earn Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side a 2-1 win over Lille in the second round game of the 2018/19 Champions League.
The Nigerian striker went on to score 18 goals in 38 appearances for Lille which convinced those in charge of Italian giants Napoli to sign him for a club-record fee of €72million.

FootballAnd while speaking exclusively with the NFF TV on YouTube, Victor Osimhen explained that his friends actually wanted him to score against Chelsea regardless the result.
“My most cherished goal is the one I scored against Chelsea.
“A lot of my friends who were Chelsea fans sent me messages before the game saying they did not care if Chelsea beat us Lille or not, they just wanted me to score.
“They really wanted me to actualize my dream, and that was one of the best moments in my career.”
