FootballCascarino Names The Only Ultimate Striker Chelsea Should Sign as Lukaku's Replacement
- Tony Cascarino has urged those in charge of Chelsea to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski
- The former Chelsea striker is of the view that the signing of Lewandowski would be a perfect replacement for Lukaku
- Lukaku last term scored just 15 goals across all competitions to fall out of favour with manager Thomas Tuchel
Chelsea directors have been urged by their former player Tony Cascarino to make sure that they sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski before the start of next EPL season.
Tony Cascarino feels the signing of Robert Lewandowski would be of great help for the Premier League giants as he stated that the Polish striker can replace Romelu Lukaku.
Last season in all competitions, Romelu Lukaku was unable to give his best to Chelsea fans due to injuries and lack of fitness, but despite that, the Blues still finished amongst the top four on the final table.
According to the reports on Complete Sports and Daily Post, Tony Cascarino explained that Robert Lewandowski would help Chelsea get plenty of goals.
Tony Cascarino's reaction about Robert Lewandowski
“Sometimes managers just don’t face you, you’re not their cup of tea, and it looks that way. It doesn’t look like a good fit with Lukaku and Tuchel at Chelsea.
“If he’s given the option of getting Lewandowski, you’re going to go for it. OK, he’s 32, but Chelsea signed Thiago Silva and he’s been a brilliant signing for the club. If they could get that one over the line, Chelsea missed goals in the centre-forward position all season, it’s cost them so dearly.”
Did Tony Cascarino play for Chelsea?
Tony Cascarino was at Stamford Bridge between the year 1992-94 and featured in 40 games for Chelsea scoring 8 goals before moving to France.
