Romelu Lukaku is reportedly desperate to quit Chelsea and make a stunning return to Inter Milan following his Stamford Bridge nightmare.
The Belgian attacker has failed to live up to his billing months after he rejoined the Blues from the Serie A giants.
The west Londoners are understood to have splashed an eyewatering £97.5million to secure the services of the former Man United star in the summer.
However, the Serie A title winner has endured a frustrating spell with Chelsea having managed just five goals in 17 appearances so far this season.
Romelu Lukaku dropped from Chelsea squad
Owing to his poor form, Lukaku was excluded from the Chelsea squad that played Lile in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
Kai Havertz was instead introduced in his place, with the German justifying his inclusion having played a central role in his side's 2-0 win over the French outfit.
The decision to aze Lukaku from the team came after the Belgium international came under immense criticism during Chelsea's 1-0 hard-fought win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
At the time, the ex-Inter star managed just seven touches the entire 90 minutes of the encounter as he struggled to make an impact in the clash.
Lukaku set for Chelsea exit
Reports now suggest the versatile striker could be set for a summer exit from Stamford Bridge in a bid to end his nightmare at the club.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claims Lukaku is fed up with life back at Chelsea and is willing to take a pay cut to seal a return to Inter.
