Liverpool are the 2021/22 Carabao Cup champions following their epic win over rivals, Chelsea, in a thrilling final staged at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, February 27.
The Reds won the title after they stunned the Blues 10-11 in post-match penalties, with Kepa Arrizabalaga, who came on for the shootout missing the decisive spot-kick.
The match had to be decided via the shootouts after both teams ended in a goalless draw after regulations time.
Miss goalscoring chances
Both Liverpool and Chelsea had loads of golden chances to put the game to bed during the 90 minutes period but each of them fluffed theirs.
The first half of the match was highly contested, with Chelsea creating two of the three outstanding chances of the half.
Joel Matip thought he had handed the Reds the lead in the 67th minute but his goal was chalked off by VAR.
Kai Havertz had the ball behind the net minutes later but he also had his goal disallowed.
The German also thought he had fired home the winner deep in extra time but saw his effort chalked off.
Liverpool stun Chelsea
With the tie set to be determined via the shootouts, Thomas Tuchel made a tactical change as he introduced Kepa in place of Edouard Mendy.
However, Kepa went on to cost Chelsea the title as he failed to make a single save before rifling his own spot-kick over the bar.
Kelleher was arguably the Reds' hero in the shootouts as he fired home the winning spot-kick before Kepa fluffed his own.

FootballRonaldo told to retire
Earlier, Sports Brief reported ex-Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes Cristiano Ronaldo should consider calling time on his football career.
This is after the five-time Ballon d'Or enduring a frustrating run of form that has seen him score just once since the turn of the year.
According to Leboeuf, he would rather have Ronaldo retire at the top than watch the Man United icon with 'pity.'
