Chelsea forward Kai Havertz is nursing a finger injury suffered while scoring for Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur.
The German was on target as the Blues stunned Spurs in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash staged at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, January 5.
The 22-year-old put the home side ahead inside five minutes of action before Ben Davies directed the ball into his own net to hand Thomas Tuchel's men a comfortable win.
Havertz is now understood to hurt himself as he scored the opener as he latched onto the end of a pass from Marcos Alonso and his effort turned in by Davis Sanchez.
The Sun reports the German international hurt his hand after he fell over Hugo Lloris as he attempted a shot in goal.
As his teammates celebrated the goal, Havertz was unable to join in the jubilation and could be seen mustering a painful expression.
The attacker went on to receive treatment and was initially able to continue to play with his hand patched up with a bandage.
However, with the pain becoming evidently intense, Havertz had to be withdrawn at half-time, with Timo Werner taking his place.
Tuchel later divulged he thought the star forward had 'broken' his finger during the incident.
