The Premier Soccer League and Kaizer Chiefs may have come to an agreement, but Cape Town City are not happy about it.
The two parties resolved that Kaizer Chiefs would play their remaining fixtures this season, despite the Premier Soccer League’s upcoming appeal against the Amakhosi’s arbitration ruling.

The club recently took to their Facebook account to release a statement stating that they disagree with the decision to reschedule the fixture.
The statement read:
“Regrettably it has been brought to our attention that Circular No.16 of the National Soccer League has become a public document which leaves us no alternative but to declare that we distance ourselves from its content.
The insinuations that we are party to or part of this decision is untrue. We categorically do not agree to this process and have responded in writing to the league and the parties on two occasions now, reserving our rights as a club to defend our position in this matter.”
Earlier this week, Eric Tinkler criticised the ongoing dispute, saying that it was ridiculous that the matter was unresolved. He also questioned why the rules applied to specific teams and not for others.
