4 Strikers Borussia Dortmund Could Sign To Temporarily Replace Sébastien Haller Ahead of New Bundesliga Season

Borussia Dortmund are weighing up their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season.

The German side are looking to bring in a new striker to fill in for Sébastien Haller temporarily.

Haller has been ruled out for an undetermined period after being diagnosed with a testicular tumour.

As reported by Bulinews, Dortmund have now identified four possible replacements for Haller. The German side are currently looking at Inter Milan's Edin Dzeko, PSG's Mauro Icardi, FK Krasnodar's Jhon Córdoba and Hertha BSC's Krzysztof Piatek.

Haller was brought in as a replacement for Erling Haaland but failed to feature for Dortmund before he was ruled out.

While Dortmund do have attacking options in the squad at present, none of them are as lethal as Haaland or Haller.

Dzeko and Icardi are proven goalscorers who have experience playing big games; Córdoba and Piatek are not as well known. According to TransferMarkt, Córdoba has played 301 games in his career thus far and scored 85 goals while creating 26 assists.

TransferMarkt also noted that Piatek has played 290 games, scored 104 goals, and created 20 assists.

At present, no offers have been made for any of the strikers, as Dortmund are still just discussing what steps to take going forward.
