Thomas Tuchel has said it is a great honour to be named as the head coach of Bayern Munich after he was unveiled by the Bundesliga champions on Saturday, March 25.
Bayern caused a stir in the football world after they announced the appointment of the former Chelsea boss before the termination of Julian Nagelsmann’s contract with the club.
The 49-year-old manager who has been out of a job since he was sacked by the Blues has now revealed that Bayern Munich’s winning mentality was the reason behind his accepting to take on the job.

Tuchel has signed an 18-month contract with Bayern Munich and is expected to take his opening training session on Monday with his first game set to be against former club Dortmund.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel has identified Chelsea coach Anthony Barry as part of the technical crew he would take along with him to Bayern Munich, Daily Post reports.
The German Bundesliga champions have appointed Tuchel to replace Julian Nagelsmann, and he is now planning a raid on Chelsea for a highly-rated coach.
Barry was among a select number of Tuchel’s backroom coaches who were kept on by Todd Boehly following the German’s sacking and was retained by new Chelsea boss Graham Potter.

FootballEarlier, Sports Brief reported Bayern Munich announced Friday they had appointed former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel as their new boss after firing Julian Nagelsmann.
The reigning German champions said in a statement: "FC Bayern and head coach Julian Nagelsmann have parted company... Nagelsmann will be succeeded by Thomas Tuchel."
Nagelsmann led Bayern to the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they will face Premier League champions Manchester City next month.
