Thomas Muller has taken a cheeky dig at Lionel Messi after Bayern Munich eliminated Paris Saint-Germain from the Champions League, admitting that Cristiano Ronaldo has always been a threat to the German giants.
Muller captained Bayern to beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League encounter at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
The Bavarians, who won the first leg 1-0 in Paris three weeks ago, advanced to the quarter finals with a remarkable 3-0 aggregate victory.
Messi was expected to inspire the Parisians to Champions League success just as he led Argentina to World Cup glory in Qatar last December.

The dribbling magician once again cut a frustrating figure in Europe's premier competition in both legs against the Bundesliga powerhouse.
Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann countervailed the World Cup winner to perfection, making it difficult for the 35-year-old playmaker to create chances and link up regularly with teammates.
In his post-match presser, Muller appeared to mock Messi's unproductive display, admitting that Bayern always struggled against Ronaldo during his time with Real Madrid.
"Against Messi, things always go well at all levels in terms of results," Muller told Kicker journalist Georg Holzner, via @iMiaSanMia.
"At club level, Cristiano Ronaldo was our problem when he was at Real Madrid. But I have the greatest respect for Messi's World Cup performance"
