Portugal international, Joao Cancelo has cleared the air about the reason behind his sensational switch to Bayern Munich in the just-ended January transfer window.
The defender completed his loan move from Manchester City to the Bundesliga giants on transfer deadline day, with that deal including an option to purchase permanently.
Cancelo is believed to have reacted angrily after learning he would not be in the starting line-up for Man City's FA Cup tie with Arsenal, per Daily Mail.
This reportedly birthed his decision to leave the Premier League champions.

However, the 28-year-old has debunked claims, stating his yearning for game time was the reason for his transfer.
"I've not had much game time, which influenced my decision - it's not about Pep. I really wanted a new adventure; Bayern is my dream club," he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
"I took this chance when it came. I knew this big club and I wanted to take this opportunity," he added.
When is Cancelo's Bayern debut?
The two-time Premier League title winner could make his debut for the Bavarians as early as Sunday, when the German giants face Wolfsburg in a Bundesliga clash.
