Despite both having a different trajectory in the game, they all started their careers together at the famous Generation Foot Academy in Senegal.
Désiré Segbé has been clubless since leaving USL Dunkerque in July, but reports indicate Mané has helped his friend get a contract at Bayern Munich's second team.

The early beginnings of their friendship
Sadio Mané and Désiré Segbé first met after the Benin striker was scouted and sent to Senegal to join the winger at Generation Football. The Bayern Munich forward, who was enormously talented left for France as the Academy's first product to join FC Metz.
At Metz, Mane requested the club bring his pal to France to join him. Metz gave Désiré Segbé the opportunity to come for trials where he joined the B team.

Reuniting in England

Mane's successful spell in England saw him leave in 2022, but Segbe had already left for France, where he spent the last year at Dunkerque.
