Bayern Munich have snapped up one of the most promising young talents in Europe.
The Bavarian club have officially confirmed the signing of Mathys Tel from Stade Rennais.
The 17-year-old with has been described as “one of the greatest talents in Europe” by Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director, Hasan Salihamidzic, 90Min reported.
“ He is a very fast, technically strong and versatile striker," Salihamidzic said.

Tel broke into Stade Rennais’ first time last season and made 10 appearances for the side. He is yet to score a senior goal, though, but was prolific at youth level.
Who is Mathys Tel?
The Bundesliga website reported that Tel is one of the most promising young attackers in Europe and can play a number of roles in the team. The right-footed player was originally a centre-back but moved further upfield as he progressed in his career.
In August 2021, he became the youngest player to play for Rennes when he was just 16 years old. He then featured a further nine times for the French side in all competitions in the 2021/22 campaign.
Tel has also starred at the international level and led the French U17 side to victory at the recent European Championship.
Tel has also been compared to Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe because of his pace and dribbling skills.

Rennes coach Bruno Genesio described Tel as being more mature than his age suggests. When explaining why he promoted Tel to the first team, he explained that Tel’s athletic qualities, technical ability and game intelligence caught his eye.
