Ribery, a Bayern icon, has now delved into Mane's sensational summer move to the Bundesliga, with the Frenchman describing the move as "great."
The former France international is also confident that Mane will live up to his billing at the Allianz Arena.
“I can only congratulate Bayern on signing Sadio Mane. He’s a great transfer for the Bundesliga," Ribery told Sports Bild.
“Of course, the competition is huge now, but Sadio can play flexibly, not just on the left. At Liverpool, the Senegalese also played as a centre-forward, and a flexible system upfront at Bayern is conceivable," he added.
