Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has named his dream five-a-side football team and included former Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic.
Modric has already played with a plethora of stars following a successful spell at the Spanish giants and his pivotal role for the Croatian national team.
It is probably no surprise that the first name on the 37-year-old's roster was Toni Kroos, given the impressive midfield combo they built at the Santiago Bernabeu.
When asked to pick a 5-a-side team, Modric was quoted as saying, via Madrid XTRA:

“Ramos, Cristiano, Kroos, Bale and I would say Rakitic because I can’t have all Real Madrid, but of course Casemiro and Benzema too.”
Why Modric picked Rakitic
Rakitic is Modric's former international teammate. They formed part of one of Croatia's best teams in their recent history.
The duo was part of the Croatian squad which reached the FIFA World Cup final back in 2018. The pair, however, suffered a 4-2 defeat to France on that occasion.
Ivan Rakitic, however, retired from international football back in 2020. The current Sevilla midfielder went on to earn 106 caps for the Croatian national team and scored 15 goals along the way.
Modric edging towards Real Madrid exit
Meanwhile, Luka Modric could be on his way out of Real Madrid after 11 seasons with the reigning La Liga champions at the end of the current season, The Sun reports.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr are reportedly interested in signing the veteran Croatian midfielder should he be made available by Real Madrid.
Toni Kroos agrees to extend Real Madrid contract by one more season
FootballModric could be reunited with his former Real Madrid teammate in the Middle East if he decides to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season with Al Nassr set to offer him a bumper deal.
Luka Modric squashes retirement plans
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Luka Modric has had a glorious career, especially during his spell at Real Madrid, but the veteran midfielder is not yet ready to hang up his boots.
The Croatian midfielder joined Real Madrid from English Premier League side Tottenham for £30 million in 2012 and has gone on to become one of the Spanish club’s greats.
Modric who is into the final months of his current Real Madrid contract is not ready to retire and has revealed he wants to get a new deal with the La Liga champions.
