Spanish giants Barcelona are set to unload some of their biggest stars as the troubled club look to raise £178m.
The Catalan giants spent over €150 million last summer on signing Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha from Leeds United and Sevilla defender Jules Kounde after activating a number of levers.
While players like Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, and Marcos Alonso arrived on free transfers in June last year, La Blaugrana have been linked with a move to sign several players as they look to revamp their squad ahead of next season.
La Liga chief Javier Tebas disclosed that the league will block Barcelona from signing new players until they offload some members of the playing body due to their poor financial state.

“Barcelona had not been able to sign players this winter, we did not let them. Next summer, they will not be able to sign players,” Tebas told Onda Cero, via Football Espana.
The announcement has underlined the deep financial issues Barcelona find themselves in.
Players Barcelona could sell
According to SPORTBible, Lewandowski, Frenkie de Jong and Rpahinha could head to the exit door in the Summer.
Lewandowski has bagged an impressive 25 goals in all competitions this season, while De Jong is still being chased by Erik ten Hag who is keen to bring him to Manchester United.
Not to mention Raphinha, who also moved last summer. A Premier League return could be on the cards for the former Leeds United winger as Arsenal and Newcastle United are believed to be interested in signing the Brazilian.

FootballBarca could also be prepared to sell the likes of Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, Alex Collado and Sergino Dest, who are all currently on loan away from the Camp Nou. Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati are also on the chopping block.
Christensen and Kessie could leave Barcelona
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie could both leave Barcelona before they even play a competitive game for the Blaugrana.
The duo were both brought into the club on free transfers but have yet to be registered with LaLiga.
If both players are not registered before Barcelona’s first game against Rayo Vallecano, they could leave as free agents.
