Joao Mendes de Assis Moreira, who is the son of legendary Brazilian footballer, Ronaldinho has joined Spanish giants, Barcelona after coming out in flying colours while on trial at Camp Nou.
The 17-year-old travelled from Brazil to the Catalan club in January, and it would seem he impressed the coaching staff during his assessment.
However, Mendes will be starting his career at Barcelona from the academy level and will need to prove himself before he is promoted to the first team.
La Masia is a famous academy and is considered a citadel where the likes of Lionel Messi and Cesc Fabregas passed through before becoming great footballers.

According to the report by EuroSport, Mendes' contract at Brazilian side, Cruzeiro was terminated which allowed him to travel to Barcelona for trial.
The report added that Ronaldinho was happy that his son will be taking his footsteps and hopes that he can reach the zenith like he did.
