Former Brazil midfielder Ronaldinho met his 2002 World Cup winning teammates in Qatar for the semi-final clash between Argentina and Croatia at the iconic Lusail stadium.

The former Barcelona star arrived this week to watch the remainder of the tournament, and will watch his former teammate Lionel Messi lead Argentina in the last four game.

Ronaldinho was in the company of Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and former goalkeeper Dida.

In a photo that has since been shared on social media, the former teammates shared the moment together.

"World Cup with the family together," wrote Ronaldinho on Twitter.

The quintet were a core part of the last Brazil team to win the World Cup, with four starting in the final against Germany twenty years ago.

Ronaldo scored a brace in the final at the Yokohama Stadium to help the Selecao claim the trophy.

In Qatar, the Samba Boys were eliminated by Croatia in the semi-final after a penalty shootout.

Ronaldinho meets Samuel Eto'o

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Barcelona legends Samuel Eto'o and Ronaldinho reunited in Qatar, ahead of the meeting bewteen Brazil and Cameroon at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Both players, now retired, are playing various roles at football's biggest competition.

In a video posted on social media, Eto'o and Ronaldinho caught up on the good old times as they shared a heartwarming moment together.

Former World Footballer of the Year Ronaldinho heaped praise on Lionel Messi, saying the Paris Saint-Germain forward has not been a complete failure.

Messi joined the current Ligue 1 champions last summer after he ended his almost two-decade spell with La Liga giants Barcelona.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner had failed to live up to his billing in his first season, managing just six goals in 23 French top flight appearances.
