The Dutch star explained that he was trying to ask the man about his job when the worker begged him to join Liverpool instead. De Jong couldn’t help but smile when recounting the story.

An uncertain future at Barca
De Jong’s future at Barcelona has always been up in the air. The club have looked to sell him during the summer transfer window, but de Jong stood firm.
